Hollywood's Newest Couple May 29, 2001 Hollywood hunk NICOLAS CAGE is apparently getting A's in both life and love. He's got an Oscar, a string of new big-budget films in the works and now he's a doctor. What more could this superstar desire? Enter his new reported romance with LISA MARIE PRESLEY. The ET Insider has learned that on May 25, the actor appeared with cap, gown and new girlfriend to accept an honorary doctorate of fine arts from Cal State University Fullerton. Cage, who was being praised for his contributions to the arts, shared his advice, personal demons, and his passion for acting in his commencement speech to the 7,000 graduates, and Lisa Marie was seated in the front row. A Long Beach, California, native, Cage joins only six other recipients of the award in the college's 42-year history. Both Cage and Presley are part of Hollywood royalty. Lisa Marie is of course the daughter of ELVIS and PRISCILLA PRESLEY while Nicolas' uncle is distinguished director FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA. Also, both have had high-profile marriages: Lisa Marie divorced MICHAEL JACKSON in 1996 and Mr. Cage has recently separated from his wife of six years, actress PATRICIA ARQUETTE. Friday, after attending the post-graduation champagne brunch at the University, the couple reportedly left Long Beach in a police-escorted limo en route back home to Hollywood.

Attending the opening was Lisa Marie Presley who stated: ``I believe psychiatrists are creating an epidemic by labeling children with bogus mental disorders and then putting them on drugs. This is abhorrent to me.'' The Exhibit is part of the new international headquarters of the Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR), a psychiatric watchdog group co-founded in 1969 by the Church of Scientology and Professor of Psychiatry Emeritus, Dr. Thomas Szasz. PEOPLE Magazine May 21, 2001 issue LISA MARIE PRESLEY Some may wonder whether she can really sing, but a source who has heard parts of Lisa Marie Presley's long-awaited debut album is all shook up. The source, who has no stake in the project, says Lisa Marie shows off a deep, sexy voice and a nice way with a tune on the yet-to-be-titled disc, which has been two years in the making. Lisa Marie co-wrote all the music, primarily with producer Glen Ballard, the man behind Alanis Morisette's breakthrough album "Jagged Little Pill," but Presley herself pened all of the lyrics for the album, which could be out this fall. One ballad, about her famous father, contains the line, "I want you to know I haven't forgotten you." It's safe to say the King would be proud.

US weekly, May 21, 2001 issue Viva Las Vegas For Cage and Presley Three months after hot stuffs reported that Nicolas Cage and Penelope Cruz were holding hands and kissing at Lisa Marie Presiey's thirty-third birthday party on February 2 in Los Angeles, it looks like Cage has moved on - to the birthday girl herself. We hear that Cage, 37, began dating the daughter of the King after she announced, in mid-April, that she and her fiance of 16 months, musician John Oszajca, had split. The new couple were spotted on May 4 at a Prince concert at the Hollywood Palladium and again later that night at West Hollywood's trendy Moomba lounge. The next day, they flew to Las Vegas, where they spent a night at the Bellagio hotel after taking in a Tom Jones concert at the MGM Grand hotel. Presley divorced musician Danny Keough in 1994 and then was briefly married to Michael Jackson from 1994 until 1996. Cage's wife of five years, Patricia Arquette, filed for divorce from the Oscar-winning actor in November after the two had tried to reconcile several months before. The representatives of all parties declined to comment.

THE INSIDER: NICOLAS & LISA MARIE? May 10, 2001 Are NICOLAS CAGE and LISA MARIE PRESLEY a couple? The new Us Weekly says the pair has been spotted together recently, holding hands and kissing at concerts in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Does that mean Nic can't be a Flying Elvis anymore?
